A rare historical building in the picturesque village of Oponice is a Renaissance mansion dating from the 16th-17th century. The locals also call it Small Chateau. It used to be the seat of the Bartakovich noble family. Late, the mansion was owned by the house of Apponyi, however, they never lived here. Today, the mansion houses the Apponyi’s Hunting Museum.
