A plein air painting exhibition inspired by floodplain forest landscapes near the Danube river highlighting the theme of escape from civilization into solitude, to survive in a wild environment.
This exhibition took place between October 2, 2020 and October 21, 2020 in Samorin, Slovakia.
Both autors Mgr. Natália Práznovská, Mgr.art Erika Miklóšová presented quick and expressive style on the theme of open-air landscape painting.
Travel outside has been largely limited due to the pandemic situation, but there is still ample opportunity to travel within our surrounding landscape. Especially in the works of MiklósÌŒová, it is the landscape near the Danube river between SÌŒamorÃn and Bratislava, Slovakia, and its floodplain forests, that drew interest of the artists.
Natália Práznovská displays the landscape together with a portrait of a person or an outline of an animal. From another point of view, this project is an escape from civilization into solitude, when everyone must rely only on themselves – without help of technology – to their physical fitness.
This notion is also the source of painting approach of both authors of this exhibition.
